Crock Pot Cranberry BBQ Chicken

This is a great crock pot chicken recipe! You can never have enough of those! I love coming home to a hot meal that's ready to eat!

Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2–4 stalks of celery, diced
1/2 an onion, diced
1 (16 oz) can of whole cranberry sauce
1 cup barbecue sauce

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook on high for 3–4 hours or low for 6–10 hours.
You can strain some of the sauce and and flour or corn starch to thicken it (always add corn starch to cold water before adding to hot liquid!), the gravy is good over mashed potatoes.

Hi Lindsey. So I tried this recipe and not my favorite. I am going to try the thai chicken crock pot next. I am also looking forward to trying your soup recipes. Love the blog!

Thanks for the comment Kassandra- we've found that the brand of bbq sauce really makes a difference in this recipe. We like Famous Dave's. Also, the cranberry makes it sweeter, so it's probably not for those who aren't a big fan of sweet dishes. :) You can tweak the recipe as well, adding spice (cayenne or tobasco), other veggies (green peppers or peas), or use a spicy or other flavored bbq sauce.
